Toddler Curriculum Letter Activity — B is for Baby

Where can I find a good toddler homeschool curriculum that has some Montessori influence?

It’s time for another week from our toddler curriculum. This is a great toddler homeschool curriculum that teaches letters of the alphabet, has fun themes, and much more. Go to our store to purchase the curriculum. You can download the letter A packet to get an idea of what is included in the full curriculum. There is much more included; go here to read about it if you are interested.

This week we are on the letter B and the theme is B is for baby. The theme for this week is a baby theme. This is a great theme especially if you have a new baby in the house. It’s also good to talk about how your toddler used to be a baby, that’s some they really enjoy.

Learning Notebook

Your child will really enjoy these printables. They are great for preschool at home, but they are simple enough for a toddler. Our family favorites this week were all of the coloring printables.

Tray Printables

Each letter in this toddler curriculum will come with a set of Montessori 3 part cards. There are lots of ways to use these cards (vocabulary review, matching, letter identification, etc.). For the letter B, I left one sheet whole and laminated it. The other sheet was cut and then laminated. Have your toddler match the cut cards to the whole sheet. Also make sure to practice the vocabulary cards. Using the Montessori 3 part cards is a great way to teach your toddler new vocabulary!

Letter Activities

We did 5 different letter activities during B week. One of the activities we did was paint a do-a-dot letter with finger paint. (The do-a-dot letters are included in the toddler curriculum. A set of uppercase and lowercase are both included).

The craft for the letter B was making a baby mobile. Have your toddler put the yarn on the pictures, then put the 2nd picture on top.

Sensory Bin

Doing a sensory bin for each letter of the alphabet was definitely a good idea. Your toddler will love playing with the sensory bin cotton balls base and all of the little objects in the sensory bin. See our ABC Sensory Bins post for more information about making your own ABC sensory bins.
