Vertical Surface Coloring
This tray is done more on the wall than a tray. Tape a piece of paper to the wall and lightly draw an ocean scene (water, sand, fish, etc.) Give your toddler three crayons (brown, blue, and orange). Let them color the picture of the beach.
Sponge Whale Painting
What you need
- Sponges
- Blue Paper
- Blue Paint
How to play
This can be a pretty messy toddler tray so make sure you supervise them. Put the blue paper on the tray with the sponge and a little bit of paint. Have your toddler use the sponge to stamp paint onto the paper. This is a toddler favorite for sure. Be patient as they learn to use the sponge, it doesn’t take too long for them to get the hand of it.
These trays are really simple but so fun for toddlers. They have so much to learn from each activity. If they don’t love every activity that is totally fine, they are sure to enjoy more than one of them.
